Privacy Policy
This draft explains, in plain English, how fido.salon handles personal data when you write to us or ask for an evaluation. It is not legal advice and may be updated as the studio’s practices are confirmed.
What we collect
From the evaluation form we typically receive your name and email, photographs you upload, and anything you tell us about your dog or the piece you have in mind.
From the contact form we receive your name, email, message, and a phone number if you choose to leave one.
Why we use it
We use this information to review photographs, reply to you, prepare a quote where that is appropriate, and — if you decide to go ahead — to commission a piece. We do not sell your details. If you tick the optional box on the evaluation form, we may also use your email for future orders, direct marketing, and special offers.
Where it is stored
Data is stored on secure servers we use to run the site. That currently includes Vercel (hosting), Supabase (enquiry records and photographs), and Resend (studio email). They process data on our behalf; we do not claim more about their systems than that.
The evaluation form also sets a small functional cookie so we can group photographs you send in the same browser session. It is not used to track you across other sites.
How long we keep it
After 6 months we remove photographs, free-text messages and notes, addresses, telephone numbers if you left one, and your name if we stored it — unless they are needed for an active order. You can ask us to delete those details sooner.
Your email is personal data. If you ticked the optional box on the evaluation form, we may keep your email, a customer record id, and your order or enquiry history — amounts, statuses, piece type and quantity, and enquiry or order references — so we can recognise you for later commissions and send news about future orders and special offers.
If you did not tick that box, after 6 months we also remove your email. We may keep internal enquiry or order references and non-identifying totals so we can run the studio.
You can withdraw email permission by writing to enquiries@fido.salon. Contact messages are kept only as long as we need them to reply.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also ask us to limit how we use it, or to send you a copy. If you are in the UK or EEA and you are unhappy with how we handle a request, you can complain to the ICO (or your local authority).
Privacy requests
Write to enquiries@fido.salon. We will treat that as a privacy request and get back to you.
Updates
This page is a working draft and may change. When we update it, the new wording will appear here.
